GoodLife Kids Foundation Grant Brings Physical Activities to the 2021 Bruce Awad Summer Program!

Thank you to GoodLife Kids Foundation for their generosity and support over the past few years! In 2019, the Bruce Awad Summer Program received a $10,000 GLKF grant to help pay for swimming and busing costs. In 2021, we were awarded another $10,000 to purchase much needed gym equipment and outdoor active play equipment, including two large inflatable water slides. This equipment will be used by the kids in the summer program for years to come!

This past summer, we were able to offer our students and families a modified summer program. Due to constraints and challenges  brought about by COVID19, it was necessary for our students to remain on-site at the two school locations. Unlike in normal years, students were not able to participate in afternoon outings to facilities including the Windsor Aquatic Centre for swimming.  Purchasing on-site equipment was necessary and due to the GLKF grant, we were able to introduce physical fitness activities, active play and outdoor water fun.
