Summer Program In-a-Box

As a result of the cancellation of the 2020 Bruce Awad Summer Program, ASI initiated the Summer Program In-a-Box program. Families that were planning to attend the 2020 Summer Program were contacted by staff in order that they could develop a box of activities and supplies that would be tailored to each student’s needs. The boxes were then personally delivered to each student’s home during July 15 to 22.

Although we understood the boxes would not replace the day to day activities for the students and the respite for families that the Summer Program offers, it was our hope that the boxes would spread a little fun and enjoyment during an otherwise very difficult summer.

Many of the items in the boxes were made possible by donations made in memory of Alisha Liolli, a dedicated and compassionate staff member who passed away last September. We would also like to thank the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), Green Shield Canada and OPSEU Local 101 for their financial contributions, and Daniher Top Soil for the rock donations.
