UPDATE: Tim Hortons Smile Cookies Sept. 19-25

Over $216,000 was raised by local Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners in Essex-Windsor! Half the proceeds — $108,000 — will go the the Bruce Awad Summer Program for Individuals with Autism while the other half will support the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor Essex County Branch Youth Wellness Hub. Over $15 million was raised across Canada surpassing the record amount from 2021 of $12 million. All of us at Autism Services Inc., the staff & volunteers, and especially the students and families we support, are incredibly grateful for the efforts and generosity of this community and the Tim Hortons Restaurants Owners!

We are excited to announce that Autism Services Inc. and the Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor-Essex County Branch have been selected once again as partner charity recipients for the 2022 Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie Event for Windsor-Essex Tim Hortons locations. During the week of September 19th – 25th, Tim Hortons restaurant owners will donate the full $1 from every chocolate chunk Smile Cookie purchased to support local charities. This means, 50 percent from the sale of each Smile Cookie sold in Windsor-Essex will support the Bruce Awad Summer Program! The other 50 percent will go to our charity partner — the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County.

Last year over $12M was raised across Canada – over $200,000 was raised locally with $100,000 coming directly to Autism Services Inc.! This is the largest fundraiser Autism Services has ever been involved with and we are so fortunate and appreciative to have this amazing opportunity, again! A large part of the success comes from the efforts of the charity partners, and we need you to help spread the word and encourage those you know to buy Smile Cookies. The more cookies the restaurants sell, the bigger the donation to the Bruce Awad Summer Program!   Many of our families, staff, and supporters excitedly participated last year, contributing to the campaign’s amazing success.

We are encouraging people to pre-order for their home, office, school, or for a weekend BBQ – any time is a good time for a cookie! Or, if you prefer, you can also purchase cookies to donate to others such as charitable groups, shelters, senior facilities, hospitals, or schools. If you would like to make a bulk purchase of one dozen (12 cookies) or more, you can download the 2022 Smile Cookie Pre-Order Form. The order forms can be taken to your local Tim Hortons starting the week of Monday, September 12.
