Autism Ontario Webinar Series!

Autism Ontario is now offering a FREE Webinar Series. Over a dozen recently recorded webinars on topics including Mindfulness and Acceptance Strategies for Parents, Self-Regulation and Wellbeing, and Understanding Challenging Behaviour just to name a few, are also available for streaming. Webinar Series: Inclusive Education and Advocacy

Three part webinar series with with Luke Reid of Arch disability. First session took place Feb. 6. Two sessions remain on Feb. 20 Understanding Accommodation, Inclusion, Suspension and Expulsion and March 6 Effective Education Advocacy. All webinars take place at 6pm. Thames Valley Children's Centre Educational Workshops

Workshops on a variety of topics for parents/caregivers of children and youth with ASD and community professionals who work with them. All workshops are in Windsor and take place at the TVCC on Quality Way or at the John McGivney Children Centre on Matchette Rd. Groups & More

The Summit Centre for Preschool Children with Autism: Parents & Silbings Group

Parents of preschool children with autism are invited to meet new families and make new connections at the monthly round table discussion. Siblings ages 4 to 12 years are invited to join the siblings group with games, crafts, talks and stories about having a sibling with autism. There is pizza and snacks for both parents and siblings. All meetings start at 5pm until 6:30pm at the Summit Centre, 940 Prince Road (see map). Meetings generally happen on the 4th Monday of the month. See full schedcule here. Community Living Essex Presents Dance Nights

For youth and adults (16 years and up) with developmental disabilities (accompanied with a caregiver or family member if needed). Dances are sponsored by the McGregor Squirettes of Mary under the guidance of Community Living Essex and take place once per month at the Knights of Columbus Hall in McGregor on Fridays from 6:30 until 10pm. ASD Social Club

This club is for adults (18plus) with high functioning Autism/Aspergers who do not require 1:1 support. Events will be organized each month. Individuals must be able to stay on their own. Contact Autism Ontario at 519-250-1893 or email here to sign-up and for more details.

High Functioning Autism Parents Group

This group of parents of children with Aspergers or children on the mild end of the spectrum meets generally meets the third Monday of the month at St. Matthews Church Hall, 1600 Norfolk. For more information please email Ann.

Adult Sensory Reading Circle

Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm at Budimir Library and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30am at Riverside Library. Come and join us for a fun sensory program for adults with special needs. Our reading circle will include stories, songs, movement, and art. For adults with special needs and their support person. Roots 2 Wings Day Friendship Clubs

Daytime programs and Friendship Clubs for youth and young adults living with a disability. The programs focus on socialization, integration, independent living, and self-help skills.
