NEW Summer Program Classroom Fund...Help us Reach our Goal and Raise $35,000

Each summer since 1984 Autism Services Inc. and the wonderful program staff have been supporting students with autism during the summer. The six week program is structured in a classroom setting and provides each student with 1 to 1 support. Because of the high level of support, students also get to enjoy fun summer activities in the community like swimming, mini golfing, and visiting splash pads.

Why Donate

Your Donation Helps People in Windsor-Essex

  • We are a locally run and operated charitable organization. One hundred percent of your donation will stay in this community.
  • We are the area's only organization to offer a multiple week summer support program that provides one-to-one care for children ages 6-21 yrs. with high needs autism.
  • We operate the community's only Autism related Resource Lending Library.
  • We sponsor workshops, seminars and webinars and provide other services to area individuals and families affected with autism.

How Will Your Donation Help

  • The cost of the summer program is approximately $6,700 per person.
  • Ninety percent of the cost is to supply specialized support workers who provide the 1:1 staff to client ratio that is critical to the success of the program.
  • Your donation will help maintain the highly structured learning environment which is designed to enhance the individual's skill as well as their quality of life.
  • Currently fifty-five percent of program costs are government funded but operating costs have been increasing. As a result, program user fees paid for by families have gone up. Your donation will help keep user fees affordable.
  • The needs of our community are growing and the demand for our summer program is greater than the positions available. This has resulted in a waiting list. Our goal is to one day accommodate all individuals who need our services. Your donation can help make that happen.
